The Managing Director of Chevron Nigeria Ltd was represented by Mr. Tony Emegere who is the the Superintendent of PGPA (Policy, Government and Public Affairs) Warrington office said in his address that Chevron is happy with the Annual Competition as it is achieving it's intended objectives and has been observed to be growing bigger and better with each passing year.

The CSN President Prof. Mrs. Gloria Obuzor was represented by the DVP South-South Mr Peter Berezi.The chapter chairman Dr. Mrs. Tina O. Isichei in her welcome address said the Annual competition is aimed at promoting the teaching and learning of Chemistry among Secondary School students in the state and appealed for increased funding to the sponsors Chevron Nigeria Ltd to be able to reach out and accommodate more students all over Delta State.
Over 300 secondary school students representing more than 20 schools were present at the award ceremony.The best ten students were given certificates and cash gifts while the best three also received plaques in addition to their certificates and cash gifts.The overall winner was Master Esosuota Peters of Government College Ughelli.Prices and certificates were also given to the teachers of the best 10 students and their schools.
The ceremony was well attended as Fellows and Members of CSN came in their numbers in addition to parents, School principals and different media houses that covered the event.
