CSN National CBT Chemistry Competition 2016

The 2016 National CBT chemistry competition took place on Monday, 19th September 201 6 by 12:00 noon at the TCT centre of Un University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Twenty-eight (28) candidates, from 14 chapters participated in the competition. The performance of the candidates are presented below.

The best three students (1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions) were given money prices of N25,000.00 N20,000.00 and Nl 5,000.00 respectively. All the other students were given consolation prizes. It is the policy of CSN to award a SCHOLARSHIP to the best student who study’s CHEMISTRY in any University in Nigeria. In this regard, Sorokwu Desmond from Delta (Warri) Chapter has qualified for this SCHOLARSHIP award in principle.

The  2016  Annual  Conference of  the  Chemical  Society of  Nigeria  (CSN) witnessed the conferment of twenty-four (24) eminent chemists with Professionals Fellowship Award and one Honorary Fellowship Award. The Honorary Fellowship Award was conferred on the Managing Director of Port Harcourt Refining Company Limited, Dr. Bafred Enjugu _in recognition of his leadership qualities and financial support to Chemical Society of Nigeria. The Professional Fellowship Awards was conferred on twenty-four (24) eminent chemists. The Awards took place at the Convocation Arena Complex of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology on 22nd September, 2016 by 5:00 pm.  A beautiful Book of Citation on the fellows’ distributed was produced and during the occasion.

The Education and Award Committee encourages fellows, chapters, friends and families of fellows to send congratulatory/goodwill messages. Companies also have the opportunity to advertise their products, goods and services in the Book of Citation. The list of 2016 fellows are shown below
